This area of woodland is known as Pondhead Inclosure and it is part of the Crown land of the New Forest. It is managed by the volunteers of Pondhead Conservation Trust as a community woodland project. The work of the Trust has received many awards including the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the MBE equivalent for voluntary organisations.

Our 1.1 mile circular walk takes in both coppice and ancient woodland and you can join the route at any point – just remember where you started! Along the route, you’ll find QR codes, which when scanned by your mobile device will provide you with information and explanatory pictures about the woodland and its biodiversity. Enjoy your walk.
